Washington Metro
This project was created under a grant from The Federal Transit Administration issued by The United States Department of Transportation.  The project required the creation of a photo-realistic Real-Time Interactive 3D Model of The Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority’s(WAMATA) Union Station Metro Terminal.

The goal of this project is the creation of a set of table-top exercises focusing prevention and response training for WAMATA Security Personnel, Law Enforcement and First Responders

Metagraphical Interactive worked with The Environmental Simulation Center and the Museum of Chinese in the Americas on a groundbreaking project to bring the Museum's archival collection together with pioneering multi-technology to create an innovative vehicle for community documentation, interpretation and reflection. Our company constructed a Real-Time 3D model which not only allowed museum goers to experience walking the streets of Chinatown but also served as an interface to link the rich history of Chinatown and the people and memories of its community contained within the museums archival collection of statistical and biographical data, historical photos, documents and artifacts.

The project uses information technology to stimulate a cross-cultural and intergenerational dialogue through the Museum's repository of collective memories and cultural artifacts and provide a user-friendly environment that encourages visitors to explore and contribute their own knowledge of Chinatown.

The simulation of an Abacoa Intermodal Station is an on-going development being created with Abacoa Development Company, The Florida Regional Transportation Authority and Florida Atlantic University. This simulation demonstrates an intermodal transportation gateway for the next decade in the new urbanized community of Abacoa. This station links multiple modes of transportation (car, rail, bus, bicycle, pedestrian) to assist in alleviating South Florida's growth-generated traffic congestion.

The database for Total Modal Abacoa was developed in conjunction with a Planning and Growth Management course taught at Florida Atlantic University (FAU). Using site plans, and design documents created by students taking the course, a real-time 3D/4D simulation of this future station was constructed, demonstrating how it would look and function in the real world over time. The resulting product was presented at the Palm Beach County Transportation Summit at the Muvico Parisian Theater in West Palm Beach, Florida. It was presented before a theater audience of over 200 members of the South Florida professional community representing business, academic and government.

Metagraphical Interactive developed a real-time 3D model in conjunction with NY's Environmental Simulation Center for the City of Houston Department of Planning which was used to conduct a series of design workshops for Houston's Near Northside neighborhood.  Using 3D real-time computer simulations, this model was used in an interactive design workshop geared toward reaching consensus on the neighborhood's identity.  This visioning process allowed the planners to assist the community in planning out the course of future objectives for its commercial corridor.

The 3D computer model of the commercial corridor was used to simulate development scenarios based on business-as-usual development patterns, and alternative development/site planning patterns based on the design objectives. Comparative sets of 3D images taken from the model effectively facilitated discussions on a number of issues such as scale, parking, safety, walk-ability, convenience, pedestrian-friendly experience, and impacts to the adjacent residential area. Most importantly, the workshops highlighted the compatibility between light-rail and a pedestrian friendly environment.
